Elephun and Chevron Cookies

Elephun & Chevron Cookies bring something special to the Elephun Experience. By placing the Elephun Cookies on toothpicks and standing them up on the table, you can somewhat bring them to life as if they're grazing and roaming the chevron jungle you've built in the Elephun Experience. But in this world, poachers have been replaced with hungry kids looking to take a bite out of this, and any sugar cookies in sight. Watch out Elephuns!

Tips
For The Elephun and Chevron Cookies
We used Americolor Super Black Gel Paste to make our royal icing a grey color for piping. When making your grey, keep in mind to start with a minimal amount of black because the color will deepen once it sits for a bit. You can always add more, but cant take any away
A chevron pattern can be quite tricky if you are free-handing it. We used this little chevron tool to help us make imprints into our cookie before baking. This will give you your chevron guideline for piping. This cut our time in half, so definitely give it a try if you're loving the chevron look
We wanted to make it look like the elephant cookies were strolling around the dessert table, kinda fun right? We achieved this look by leaning the cookie on a toothpick. Our tablecloth was a big help in holding the toothpick in place (if you just have a bare table, a toothpick might not do the trick). For curious readers, we moved the table quite a bit and our elephants stayed in place :)
Presentation
Ideas For The Elephun and Chevron Cookies
We presented our Elephun and Chevron Cookies on a 10-inch square white plate from Sur La Table. We especially love to use these plates in our Experiences as the clean and simple lines tend to complement any dessert table. We recommend getting a variety of sizes if you tend to host parties often
A simple printable dessert label can go a long way to completing the presentation. We offer free printable dessert labels, along with the rest of the Elephun Experience Printables, that you can download here. We recommend using cover weight paper which you can find at Paper-Source. We usually use pure white, but feel free to choose a color that works for you
