Here Comes The Bride Cookies
Who has a wedding without having bridesmaids... or, at a minimum, at least a maid of honor. A bride definitely needs her confidants at her side when she embarks on this new stage in her life. To include the bridesmaids in the shower (and the Experience), we made dress sugar cookies in the color of the bridesmaids' dresses as they surround the bride showing their loyalty and devotion on her big day.

Tips
For The Here Comes The Bride Cookies
Royal Icing is great to use when decorating cookies. Getting the right consistency for decorating is usually a personal preference, and takes some practice to perfect. If you're trying to find a perfect consistency, you may want to check out this article and video by Sweetopia. This could be a game changer in the way you decorate cookies since it definitely was for us
When piping an accent on a cookie (like our bottom ruffle on the dress) you want to make sure that your royal icing has a stiffer consistency so the shape takes form. When adding accents, get a little crazy and add a special touch of your own. You can even add fondant accents if that's what you prefer, just add a dab of your royal icing to the fondant (as glue) and place it on your cookie
There are many royal icing recipes out there. Some use fresh egg whites, others pasteurized egg whites, but we like to use recipes that utilize meringue powder as the main ingredient. Meringue powder is a dried egg white powder that we use in place of fresh eggs, mainly because it's easy, tastes great, and we know is bacteria free
