10 Delicious Desserts Made With Nutella Mashup

It all started in the backroom of a pastry shop in the small Italian town of Alba, Italy back in the 1940s. If Pietro Ferrero had only known that he was going to be creating what would become the Nutella that we all know and love, he might have celebrated a bit more (regardless of what he really did that night). Nutella has captured the hearts and stomachs of the world many times over - available in over 75 countries with a rumored jar sold every 2.5 seconds. This larger than life hazelnut spread can be spread on nearly anything, mixed with basically everything, and taste amazing regardless of its pairing, or lack there of. With so many Nutella fans, and so many uses, it's no wonder that there are so many Nutella creations out there, and is why we had to put together our own Nutella Mashup of the best Nutella recipes we've found around the web. The only question remains is, why did it take us this long to do this?

1) Nutella Cake With Chocolate Hazelnut Ganache

First on the list to make with that brand new jar of Nutella you just bought is, of course, cake. The Nutella in this cake is reinforced with the hazelnuts both in the cake and in the ganache, and pairs perfectly with the chocolate everywhere else. Be careful since you might not leave your house until you've made and eaten this entire cake.

Don't be deceived by the name of this next website, Diethood.com, that shares this chocolate chip cookie meets Nutella cream cheese filling sandwich recipe. There is no diet involved, unless you're on a cookie diet high in calories and deliciousness. And since we already know that Nutella goes well with anything, mixing in some cream cheese and stuffing it in between two cookies seems like a very logical move. Well played Diethood.com.

What's the secret to making amazing Nutella cupcakes? That's easy, using as much Nutella as possible. This recipe calls for making whatever kind of cupcakes you like (we have our own chocolate recipe here) and then hollowing out a small piece from the middle that you can fill with Nutella. Then, with the Nutella buttercream frosting, you'll take one bite and be in Nutella cupcake heaven.

Sometimes the measure of a good dessert is how quickly it can be made, since if it tastes good, we want it now! So when we came across the words "no bake", "fast and easy", and "Nutella", we knew that not only would it taste great, but be able to be eaten all the more quicker. So turn off your oven, break out the jar of Nutella, and get to making some mini Nutella tarts from Bakers Royale.

Another winning combination besides Nutella and chocolate is, you guessed it, Nutella and marshmallows. What essentially is Nutella and marshmallow (in fluff form) sandwiched between two layers of cake, these Nutella marshmallow bars look amazing, and probably tastes even better. As long as you keep the Nutella and marshmallows, feel free to use the cake of your choice... did someone say chocolate?

If you've ever fondue'd before, you know that bananas and chocolate are a great dessert combination. Substitute Nutella for chocolate, and you've just up'd the ante and your dessert cred. So taking banana bread and then adding Nutella swirls brings you to a whole different level than those Nutella and banana amateurs. Since we're huge fans of banana bread, this is one recipe we'll definitely be trying first, or second after the cake, or third after the tarts, or fourth after the next recipe with cinnamon rolls...

Nutella cinnamon rolls with vanilla glaze in 15 minutes? Dost our ears deceive us? We don't really mind that Averiecooks.com took the shortcut and used pre-made dough instead of making the rolls from scratch - if it means that we can eat these in 15 minutes or less. The countdown timer has started.

Instead of a sandwich with Nutella stuck between two cookies, this is Nutella IN the cookie. That's right. Take a bite, and enjoy that soft and creamy Nutella in every bite. Ambitiouskitchen.com was definitely ambitious here, and we appreciate it. The secret? Using chilled Nutella and folding the cookie dough around it. Brilliant. Put your Nutella in the fridge and get your oven preheated.

Even though Bobby Flay uses "whole wheat bread" and calls this a "healthy dessert", don't be fooled by the sales pitch and think that this doesn't taste amazing. Bananas with Nutella is already a well-known great combo, but throw it on a grill pan and make a panini with it and you get that grilled dessert flavor that you're going to love.
